Halloween Pumpkins

Here's a little video I made for the Fiskarettes Facebook page.........Pumpkin Pie anyone?

The new kitchen is coming along - what a job! It has been like the United Nations here - tiler from Hungary, Flooring guy from Albania, electrics from Italy, plumber from France! But they are all great guys and doing a super job......

So the kitchen floor has to be lifted. 'We can do that' we thought. 'Save some money' we thought......... So the top layer of laminate wood was ripped up. Then a layer of vinyl tiles that had been laid underneath. That uncovered another layer of vinyl tiles, which we ripped up - I was getting very bored with it all by this time. Finally, we uncovered ceramic tiles which have been laid for so long that luckily the adhesive has all dried up and they are fairly easy to get up. So four layers of flooring, all on top of each other - it's a wonder the floor didn't meet the ceiling!

Right, I must get back on my aching knees now, and carry on with those pesky tiles....

  3. Vet cute little pumpkins Enfys. I made some ornaments a few years ago with circles made like this. They were fun to do.
I helped or at least tried to help my Son take up some Flooring. That is not an easy job.

  5. Adorable little project, I might just have to make some for my Thanksgiving table..
The kitchen is going to be great when it's all done. We did the demo on ours and I know what you're going through, it's lots of work. In the end it will all be worth it. Thanks.

  6. Cute project, I just love those accordioned shapes. Patience with the kitchen, speaking from experience, it'll be worth it in the end but it doesn't seem like it when you're in the middle of it!

  9. Oh I love those little pumpkins, they are so adorable and will be a very fun and festive way to dress up your table for your dinner party. Yikes, 4 layers of flooring. Sounds like the past individuals were a bit lazy when re-flooring the kitchen. That must have seemed like an endless messs as you uncovered one layer only to find yet another. But just think how lovely your kitchen will be when this job is finally over ... and everything is actually done properly.

BTW ... the video was excellent. Enjoy your dinner party! (*Hugz*)
