My 'moon' projects

I promised to show how I made my little 'wall art'. I started with one of the new Fiskars thick punches - these will cut through all sorts of material, chipboard, milk bottles, shrink plastic, thin balsa wood, and lots more

I had some stiff self adhesive stencil vinyl so I punched a circle.....

Stuck it to a card and started sponging with distress inks......

until I was happy with the result.....

then I peeled away the vinyl to reveal the moon

added some streaks of pale grey for a bit of shading across the circle of the moon

then stamped an image from the Inkadinkadoo Meadow clear stamp set...

and a sentiment by Hero Arts. The whole panel was mounted onto a white card

and I liked the effect so much, I reproduced it in different colours for my craft room

Have a great weekend. I will be back with a giveaway on Sunday, so be sure to drop by then x

  12. Very pretty, En. The moon effects are very realistic. What a great idea for your craft room decor. How goes the settling in? I know it takes awhile if you don't have new cabinetry. (I'm still working on it since February! I need another set of shelving. But I'd really like one with drawers. Oh well, a girl can dream. Glad to see you are back in the craft space. Hugs, Jess

  15. Ohhh ... love the moon effect on both your wall hanging and the pretty card too. I don't know how messy this technique is to do, but it sounds reasonably easy, perhaps even simple enough for me to give it a try. Now all I need is some pretty, complimentary, inks to blend together. Thanx for the inspiration.

  19. Missed a few posts Enfys, been decorating our bedroom which has been exhausting so I don't know how you are coping with the whole house thing! Love how the craft room has come along and love your colour splash. This is one gorgeous make and what a stamp to finish it. Thanks for the tutorial.
