Spruce trees - and a winner

I was playing around with the tree stencil I bought from the Hobbycraft show at the NEC,

and this is what I came up with. the trees were sponged with iced spruce distress ink, with a bit of tumbled glass sponged on for the sky, I cut some snow banks and covered the whole thing with some texture paste and the falling snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp....

this is one of those cards that is a lot prettier in real life, but hey, I'm showing you anyway.......

On to the winner of the Promarkers. thanks to all of you who took the time to make a comment, the lucky winner is

Bev18105

Congrats Bev, email me with your address and they will be in the mail to you

We are home again after a rather hectic week looking after the boys - they were very good boys, but, boy, you forget how hectic it is doing school runs and after school activities. We chilled out big time when we got home on Saturday! So this week is going to be all about wrapping presents, decorating the house and a bit of a spring clean....the cards have been written and are all ready for the post office tomorrow, but apart from a fair bit of internet shopping, that's as far as I've got - how about you?

See you tomorrow x

  1. I love this card Enfys!!
I love the look oft the snow.
Bet you had a good time with your
    Grandbabies.
I have about half of my shopping done.
Now out to get for my boys and my 20 year old Grandson.
My tree is up as my 4 youngest grandbabies came over and helped me put it up ( so much more fun when you have someone helping).

  4. Hi En, I have all but 1or2 gifts bought, worked on cards yesterday. I'll have too make a few more, after I finish the signing and addressing. I ruined one with ink on the outside. Grrrrrr! I'll be more careful today.I'm really enjoying this Christmas. First time in several years we've been able to afford gifts for the big kids too. And since last year was way too scary, with cancer in our midst, we're truly grateful that it's all gone. Don's healing well, and is well on the way to recovering from the side effects of the treatments. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hugs Jess

  5. Our cards were mailed last week, but I still have some shopping to do. We wrapped a few things, but not all. I'm planning on starting the cookie baking marathon this week, as I usually do about a dozen different types of cookies! Your card is lovely, and I'd love to look out on a snowy scene like that on Christmas. BethAnn M.

  6. Lovely card Enfys. I have that stencil & have done a few cards with embossing paste on acetate - looks very effective. Just one present left to but and 3 cards to make. Then I will tackle the craft room tsunami!! Pat x

  13. Those stencils look fab, as does your card. I have spotted a few of my stencils in one of the removal boxes but I have no idea where my embossing & texture pastes are. I've been so busy with work and moving house that I still have a lot of cards to finish, alas.
