Revisiting Dunkin Donuts.....

Now new readers of this blog probably don't know that for ten years we owned a house in Florida, and spent six months out of each year there. During this time I became addicted to Dunkin Donuts coffee - in particular iced caramel lattes - and it was a daily routine for me to go for my coffee and sit in the sun drinking it. Now I seemed to see the oddest people on these excursions, they are all chronicled on this blog if ever you are bored silly and haven't got anything better to do.......

But in the meantime, I trawled back a little way and found these snippets so that those of you who weren't around for the Dunkin Donut years understand a little of what I am burbling on about. Look HERE and HERE and HERE (this one is the one that still makes me chuckle every time I think of it) and HERE

So all this prefaces the fact that I got into the habit of buying a Dunkin Donuts Christmas tree ornament every year - of course now that we have sold the house in America to look at them makes me very nostalgic......

So this week a little parcel arrived, and when I opened it here's what I found...........

One of the daily readers of my blog (I am not going to name her, she knows who she is!), sent a lovely handmade card and the ornament saying 'I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and when I saw this ornament it said "send me to Enfys!"

I can't tell you how moved I was, that someone I have never met but has become a friend simply through this blog should remember me and take the trouble to buy this and send it across the Atlantic - an act of kindness that really and truly made my day, and one I appreciated so much. Thank you x

See you tomorrow x

  2. How sweet! I well remember your Dunkin stories and how they gave me a good chuckle. I'm going to go to the ones you've linked and have a laugh now, I could use it. Dreary weather here right now, so a laugh will be a good thing.
