Bold Blooms

Well all my stuff is unpacked and put away, so I was able to make a couple of cards yesterday.
Here's a nice happy start to the week, the tulips were cut from the cricut lite Bloom cartridge at 4", and shadowed in black.................

The sentiment is American Craft Thickers, they are felt letters. Papers are by My Minds Eye, and the card was made from Gemstones card from Jo-ann. I added a few doodly black dots here and there. I really like these lite cartridges, the layering is superb on the three I bought.
So today will see me madly trying to complete a magazine commission, and I have some samples to make as well. I need to get them done so that we can get down to London to see those grandbabies. Mike and I went out to a garden centre, he parked the car whilst I dashed inside. When we got out I looked around and walked confidently to a dark blue car 'where are you going?' he asked. Yes, I had forgotten that our car here is dark green, the blue one is in the USA - my body is here, my mind is still somewhere Mid-Atlantic.

  7. This is the Lyte I want to get next. As usual your card is beautiful. I just got a new to me vehicle myself and it was so strange going out in parking lots the first shopping trip or two I made in the new car. I kept looking for the old car.

  9. I am so glad you found your car. Good think you were alone. You might still be looking.
I love your card. I really want all the Lites well almost all of them but they are so price. I had the one with the gate in my hand but put it back now I want this one. Oh I have to find away to justify these or to earn some extra cash.
    I do love your blog.

  10. Out of the 24 new carts, you picked 3! I'm impressed. Of course the Walmart i stopped at didn't have all 24 so that helps in the decision!
Welcome home! Darling card. Those tulips would be cute at 6" or 8" and given individually! Love your card, Enfys!

  12. I agree...lovely card as always! I got the Botanicals, lite cart. I ended up cutting extra layers so I had a flower color over the green stems etc. I'm lovin all the beautiful images! I was hoping for the 'Blooms' cart, but they didn't have it. Ah well, maybe some other Walmart.
You know of all the things I imagined might be an issue for you when you change contries, a different color car never occured to me!!!
I'm waiting for new pix of the grandbabies!
    Hugs.

  16. Enfys,
I am so thrilled to tell you I got the envelope on Saturday and I have been a loss for words. The cards are beyond words. I have been trying to think of the right words to say "Thanks". That seems to be the only word I can use. I am speechless and for me that is something. Thanks again so much I love them all. I probably will keep them all or give on a very special occassion.

  19. The tulips would make a beautiful spring card. Love your choice of colors. I went so far as to get into the back seat of a red car while waiting for my family to come out of a restaurant only it wasn't my family and it wasn't my red car! Wonder why they glared at me, no sense of humor I guess!

  23. This card is beautiful, Enfys! Love the colors.

I know you can't wait to see those grandbabies. I can't stand to be away from mine for too long.

I totally understand the thing about the cars. The other day I was out running errands most of the day and not until I was on my way home did I realize that I had on two different colors of sandals. One navy blue and one light beige. Same style and make, just diff colors...LOL

  24. But do you remember which side of the road to drive on???? LOL I've done that, taken DH's vehicle instead of mine and then can't find my car in the lot.
