Happy Birthday Fashion Queen....................

I haven't really had a chance to use my Forever Young cartridge much, but I played around a bit today, here's what I came up with - this cartridge is a must if you make cards for girlfriends, full of really stylish cuts. I have experimented a bit, and the figures really do look best cut in black as a silhouette (in my opinion). The figure and layers were cut at 4.5", and the sentiment was cut at 1.5". The happy birthday button is by Craftwork Cards

Whilst I was cutting it, I thought very grumpily 'if I had legs like this I wouldn't have all this trouble finding a swimsuit'. At the risk of making myself bad tempered, I am going to experiment some more with Forever Young over the weekend. I am a bit behind with my visits to other blogs as well, I need to start hopping around a few........ see you there!

  3. Enfys!!!

Awesome card! I agree about cutting the gals in the black, it looks so chic! (ohhhh, I hardly ever use that word! ;D) I love the pp you used, I really want this cart! LOL!

I'm sorry about your swimsuit dilemma, I know exactly how you feel, but as I said before...Wal Mart, plain tank 1 piece, and swim shorts. Of course with my pain patch I have to wear a t-shirt anyways because you can't get it exposed to sun *sigh*.

Believe me, my daughter with her cute little 18 y/o bod was having kittens over choosing a swimsuit, she is so self conscious about certain areas of her body, it's so frustrating, I mean I am glad she is more modest than most gals around her (even ladies my age wearing short booty shorts!!!).

Well she finally found a purple tankini top and black board shorts that go down to her knees (she hates her upper thighs). I could go into the whole adorable dress she tried on (a plain sheath dress with a yellow/black flower pattern on white), which she said was too "old ladyish" OK..I need to stop...I don't need to tell you that her brother called from WY upset over a broken back windshield to his car while we were shopping, and she gave her side first than ran out to a nearby shoe shop after handing me her phone, and how I started getting extremely upset about the whole situation in the store...He said hearing Murray & I fight while shopping actually cheered him up because it's so funny. This also happened when he was visiting, :/.

OOPS, I'm rambling again, cleaned my pool, then attempted to do some swim therapy, in pain, can't take any more pain meds, wait, was I commenting about your swimsuit search? Oh dear. Thanks again for sharing your funny stories and beautiful artwork..you are a Treasure!!!!

BTW, have I ever told you how much I love the word "whilst" and spelling color "colour?" :)

    Crafty Hugs,
    Lisa :)

  11. OK, just have to say... if you had legs like that, you wouldn't be able to walk to the store to buy a suit, let alone the pool or beach! Those ankles will not support any chocolate, cookies, or chips - i mean any type of body!
but i do love the card.
Good luck with your search. Expect a miracle.
    Love your work.
    Thank you for sharing!

  12. Hey En, lovely card. This cartridge is on my wish list. Don't know if I'll ever get it, as the list is sooooo long! lol I don't have a lot of girlfriends, so don't know if I'll use it much, but I just love the silloettes, I can never spell that correctly! grr. But I do love them, I use a Childs Year all the time just for that reason! Thanks for sharing, and good luck again on the swim suit search!
    Hugs, Jess
