A Star is Born - for BBTB2

On Bitten By The Bug2 this week, Carla set the challenge, and asked us to use the delivery cut from the New Arrival cartridge
I used a 6 x 6 scalloped card base from Craftwork Cards, and embossed it with my new 5 x 5 dots embossing folder - how I wish they had made it 6 x 6! I cut a strip of pattern paper (DCWV) for the edge, and popped another smaller embossed scallop strip onto that, wrapped with ribbon. The star was cut from George at 4", and the baby at 3". The baby face is a stamp by Peachy Keen, and I used copics to give her a bit of colour. Lettering is tiny alphas by Making Memories

I scribbled on the star with a quickie glue pen and sprinkled with glamour dust
If you enjoy a challenge, why not join in this week at BBTB2? We love seeing all the creations.

I think it's a back-to-work day in the USA today, here in the UK we have a bank holiday. Easter monday is the first bank holiday of the year after new year, so a whole lot of events are arranged, the motorways come to a standstill with everyone out and about...............me? I'm staying home and finishing off the babies first birthday cards.
See you tomorrow

  1. Cute cute card!!!!! I love the little baby!!!! Is that a cut from a cricket cart? It looks a bit like the one from SYI.

My son Ian who is in the AF is here on leave for 15 days, and he bought me 2 carts, Stand & Salute, and SYI. (we went to big lots for the 30.00/cart deal) I thought that was so sweet of him!!! Which is why I asked. Hmmmm am I making sense this am...LOL!

Have a fantastic day Ens!!!! Can't wait to see another great creation from you!

    *hugs*

  13. Very cute! love the embosssing, they never seem to make the folders big enough!

We had a public holiday here is Oz too, but didn't go out either, never anything open here, they didn't catch onto the fact that people are off and want to do something.

  16. Hi Enfys

I just started a new blog and have blog candy to try to make it grow. I am not known yet in the bloggers world, so guess I have to bribe for followers, lol.

I love your projects. I stop by most days. Come visit my new blog. I need some tips. I can not figure out how to keep the blog candy announcement on top. Now my blog candy is not on my home page. You will have to click on older post to see it. I will be giving aways things for the next several months...Please go read about it and tell me what to do.

I want to add a blinky too.
I would appreciate you stopping by and giving me some tips. My blog does not seem to be layout like most, lol. I am still trying to figure it out. I have deleted it twice, lol by accident. I know, I know, you ask how the heck did you do that, well I do not know how

  18. Gorgeous baby card, love the cute baby those faces make all the difference don't they, I really must get some to go with my everyday paper dolls. I totally agree about those embossing folders I only ever use 6x6 cards and would so love them to be bigger.
Hope you have a safe and hassle free journy to Florida.
